The activity I am going to undertake is looking at incorporating influences from the world today (2020) such as the 2020 Global Pandemic into the artwork. I will be using artist references and other ideas from my other portfolio and looking at how I can develop it out and make it more interesting. As I process within the portfolio I will be able to look at different ideas and see what I want my overall idea I want to represent when the portfolio is complete.
The image above is my timeline and it shows the process of what ideas I will be developing within my seven day time frame to complete the portfolio.
On Day 1 I am going to read the brief and discuss different ideas I can develop with my tutor and classmates. The materials and equipment I will need for day 1 will be mind maps so I can spread out mu ideas and choose which one i like the most and develop on it. I will use communication and listening skills to discuss my ideas with the rest of my class and tutor. These will help me develop my ideas and look at other thoughts that I may not of thought of before. On day 1 I worry I will find it hard to think of ideas and i will be stuck for the first hour of working. To stop this from happening I discuss what I want to do with my classmates and tutor. This means that I can began to develop ideas of my own. To over come not having any ideas I used mind maps to discuss ideas with my classmates and tutor and write down my thoughts.

On Day 2 I will begin to look at artists I have already stated researching within my other portfolios and bring then into this portfolio and start clean. I will look at how I can incorporate artists like Claude Monet or Takashi Murakami work into this portfolio. The materials and equipment I will need are a computer to do further research on my artist and art supplies such as pen and paper to write down different experiments I can make using my chosen artist. The skills I will need to use are English language skills to create lists of ideas I can use from my chosen artists. The problems I may face would be not knowing what artist to use and I may end up procrastinating instead of working. To prevent this I would ask my tutor for help. Another problem I may face is the not getting access to a computer to research my artist. To prevent this I would complete my research in my college where I have computer access or I would go to the nearest library and get a book based on my artist.
On Day 3 and 4 I am going to start experimenting with my artist and create some samples of work. I will then evaluate my work. The materials and equipment I would need are which ever ones I decide to use. If I was experimenting with Takashi Murakami I would need would be black paint/ markers for the outlines and bright coloured markers or paints; whereas if I was looking at Claude Monet I would need to use canvases, paintbrushes and watercolour/ oil paints. The kills and techniques I would need would be creativity, patience and the understanding of my artists painting style.
On Day 5 and 6 I will be starting the final piece recording the process as I work. The materials and equipment I would need is most likely the same as days 3 and 4 as I would need to choose my artist and start developing and experimenting before I can decide. The skills and techniques I would need to use during my final piece are patience and understanding of my of my chosen objective.
On Day 7 The final piece will be complete and evaluated against my original proposal and the criteria in the project brief, The materials and equipment I would need are roughly the same as day 5 and 6 because I would still be finishing the piece and I would need a computer to type up my evaluation.
