Photograph Prints
After I created my contact sheets, I then picked some of our best photographs to enlarge and develop. To start sizing the image, I decided to slot the film strip into the negative photo holder and close it, so no excess light passed through. I decide to adjust the scanner so the image would be projected into the rectangular light and then I scaled the image. Now it was time to focus the image. To focus my image, I used a focus-finder so that I could see the image up close. I also adjusted the knob on the side of the film scanner to change the focus. When the image is focused it needs to resemble little grains of sand. To create our photographic prints, I decided to find out how long my photos needed to be exposed. We turned off the lights and applied a small strip of the light-sensitive paper underneath the window. I set the timer for 10 seconds so the light could expose the paper. Finally, the negatives were finally developed in the solutions used for our contact sheets and set to dry in the drying rack. These are the finally photos I created. I took photos of a wall and a graveyard because they seemed mysterious and eyecatching.
