Through 153 photos I selected the top 6 and I wanted to explain the development and thoughts behind my work.
For my final piece I decided to look solely as switching up the gender role for males and I took multiple photos of my classmate in a maid costume. I had him in various different poses and selected the ones I liked best for my final piece. I wanted to create a fun and interesting look to these photos. I used a Canon EOS 600D with ISO 100, f14 and the shutter speed at 1/125. I wanted to be able to quick snap a range of photos of my model in the poses within waiting too long. I also cropped and edited the photos to take out the parts I didn't like.
The backdrop I used was a long white sheep of paper that also acted at a colour of the floor I also used large bight lights to create the photos. These lights were large high quality artificial lights that pointed towards the centre of the set so they focused on the model. Our studio of choice was an unused computer room as it was spacious and easy to move about in due to covid 19. Originally we tried taking photos with the model wearing their face mask as well as everyone else that was present in the room; however is this not look good so I had him remove the mask to make the photos look better for the final outcome.
The entire point of this final piece was to remove gender norms from items of clothing to make fashion assessible to everyone. To do this I wanted to switch clothes around for men and women, hence why I am wearing a suit and my classmate is wearing a maid costume.
I wanted my model placed in the centre of the photo to draw attention to their face. In some shots where he was lying down my models face was towards the left but that was not an issue as I could look at my photos from a different perspective. My having the model in the middle of the background. I was able to use the rule of thirds. As there was two pieces of white to the left and the right of him. I was able to create the rule of thirds and make everything even looking within the final photos.
The vantage points for me were the ability to take the photos in line with my models face and body. This helped to keep the photos professional and structured. I took a range of close up portrait photos and long photos to hold in my models whole body.

PHOTOSHOP CORRUPTION
To create the effects above I added my image to photoshop (image 1). Then I looked at the adjustments section (image 2) and selected hues/saturation (image 3). I changed the hue to 180+ (image 4), the saturation to 100+ (image 5) and the lightness to -36 (image 6). This idea is meant to show the distorted and obscured look at feminine males and female empowerment. The pixels show the corruption and distortion of peoples' ideals and mindsets. Since people judge each other constantly I wanted to kept the background the same as it makes the model appear different and obscure.
Below are the other corruption concepts I came up with...
