Tim Walker was born in England in 1970. Walker’s interest in photography started at the Condé Nast library in London; here he worked on the Cecil Beaton archive for a year before university. After his three-year BA Honors degree in Photography at Exeter College of Art, Walker was awarded third prize as The Independent Young Photographer Of The Year. I enjoy looking at Tim Walkers Photography as I love its simplistic and abstract style. The fact that A listed celebrities are used as the models for these photographs are not what draw me to them, Its the white and black used to create a block impact within the photos. Moreover the only colour used is in the makeup, hair, clothing or the props. This gives the photographs a simple and monocoloured look that I really enjoy looking at. I intent to incorporate Walker's abstract ideas into my own work as I want to create a simple and idealistic photo.
